The NSCA bridges the gap between the science of exercise and its application to the client, patient and athlete.

James is a nationally recognized exercise physiologist and a strength & conditioning expert with more than 30 years of education and experience. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire with an advanced degree in Exercise Physiology/Kinesiology. He was mentored by Dr. Robert Kertzer, a renowned exercise physiologist. James graduated at the top of his class and was considered one of the best young minds in applied exercise science. Early in his career, he developed training methods that are considered state-of-the-art today.  He is certified by and a member of the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) and American College of Sports Medicine (ASCM). He is a NSCA-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS) and Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT). For several years he has lectured extensively on fitness, nutrition and health.

Katherine is a National Strength & Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer and a Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certified Nutrition Coach.  She became a trainer after experiencing a fitness transformation herself at Team Fitness and has been improving lives here since 2010.  Katherine is devoted to helping all kinds of people--teenagers to grandparents, surfers to golfers to gardeners--acquire and maintain strength, mobility, energy, lean body composition, and other healthy biomarkers. She is the frequent recipient of thank-you's from long-term clients who are having fun on the slopes, courts, and courses, keeping up with their kids and grandkids, having clean check-ups, looking and feeling great, and living well.

Jess is a 
National Strength & Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer and has devoted the last several years in pursuit and knowledge of exercise science.  Jess has been part of our mentoring program as well as one of our most successful fitness athletes here at Team Fitness. Our newest trainer, her passion and commitment fit very well with the TF approach.
